- Be guided by regular inputs from students, parents, and community members.
- Work with the provincial government to restore the mandate of democratically-elected OCDSB School Board Trustees.
- Ensure public schools are safe, inclusive communities for all students and staff, with a focus on 2SLGBTQI+ individuals, newcomers, and students with special needs.
- Offer parents and students choices to meet their needs, whether in their closest school or in a specialized school. Embed supports in schools themselves, for greater access by students and less burden on parents.
- Support evidence-based decision- making around technology use in the classroom. Prioritize analogue learning and foundational skills like making friends and information literacy.
- Foster an education system that helps solve the greatest challenges of our time, notably the climate crisis and weakening civic engagement.
- Advocate to the provincial government to significantly increase public education funding.
- Approve balanced OCDSB budgets annually.
