Lived experience of public education systems I am the product of a public education system, the daughter of two public school teachers, and an OCDSB parent. As a School Council volunteer and our representative to the Ottawa-Carleton Assembly of School Councils, I have worked with parents and staff to enhance the education experience for all students.
Community leadership I am an enthusiastic participant in my community, from being a Girl Guide leader for 15 years to a chimney sweep in the 2025 Glebe community centre production of Mary Poppins. I love to get to know my neighbours, and if elected would seek out and bring your views to School Board Trustee responsibilities.
Budgeting As a policy wonk and numbers geek, budgeting is my happy place. In international development program management roles, I was responsible for budget management of multi-million-dollar international development projects. In Board of Director roles for two education organizations (Girl Guides of Canada and Early Start Africa), I reviewed and approved annual budgets.
Teamwork I value working together for a common goal. I am respectful in understanding others’ positions and sharing my own, trusting we have the best interests of students, staff, and other education stakeholders at heart.
